1St Annual Downtown Amherst Sip & Shop Stroll
& Makers Market at The Drake
The Amherst Business Improvement District is thrilled to announce a new downtown event for visitors and community members to enjoy a quintessential New England Holiday Evening.
On Thursday, December 15th, our downtown will be filled with light from a Merry Maple to the snowflake arches, lamppost swag, snowflakes, and café lights throughout Main and Pleasant Streets. From 5-9 PM Muddy Brook Farm will provide Horse Drawn carriages to transport shoppers to downtown restaurants and retail shops while local Hurricane Carolers from ARHS serenade them along the way. Five restaurants - Bistro 63, 30 Boltwood, Pasta E Basta, Osteria Vespa, and Hazel’s Kitchen - will be offering a “3 for $35” prix fixe dinner menu, all other downtown restaurants will be open with ala carte menus. All downtown retail shops will be open and serving a little “sip” of holiday cheer for shoppers to enjoy while they support local small businesses. To take the night a step further, the Inn at Boltwood is offering a special $99 one-night rate for those looking to stay over in our beautiful downtown!
The Drake, Amherst's new Live Performance and Music Venue, will be transformed into a beautiful Makers, Artists, and Creative Market curated by Kristin Kelley, the former owner of Ode Boutique, The Drake bar will be open and Crème Bru-LA will be making sweet treats on the balcony.
Downtown will be alight and alive with festive local holiday shopping, eating, drinking, music and merriment. A wonderful evening to get out, have a magical experience, and support small local businesses!
