Summer Concert Series

Summer Concerts on the Amherst Town Common are back! Join us every Friday in July, starting July 10 for free live music from 5:00–8:00 PM. Spread out a blanket, pull up a chair, and grab a bite from one of our local restaurants.

Friday, July 10 - Hwy91 & Downtown Amherst Contra Dance

Downtown Amherst Contra Dance is a local community folk dance, inclusive, and welcoming to all! Featuring live music by Becky Miller, Mark Roberts, and Andrea Cooper.

HWY91 play a northeastern take on southwestern music, with an engaging and eclectic mix of material broadly treated as Bob Wills classics.  Fun for all ages, danceable, with powerful vocals and exciting soloists, this is an old school swinging country good time band.

Friday, July 17 - The Berkshires & Muswell Hillbillies

The Berkshires hail from western Massachusetts, and formed The Berkshires in 2022. Their original "New England Mountain Music" is a high-energy blend of rock, reggae, funk, blues, and country.

Muswell Hillbillies plays valley favorites with a set of ‘70s and more!

Friday, July 31 - The GemsTones & The Hendersons Blues Band

The Hendersons Blues Band. Together over 40 years, Bo and Janny Henderson are a bottomless well of gritty blues - with Nighttime Will on harmonica and Joey beating the 100-year-old drums.

The GemsTones are a youthful 4-piece Retro-Rock & ‘Nostalgabilly’ band of brothers performing a mix of originals and retro classics. Specializing in hits from America’s decade the 1950s, and beyond. 

*Friday, August 7 - Kimaya Diggs on the Emily Dickinson Homestead

Kimaya Diggs makes music for people who want to feel things. A performance of soulful original music with storytelling and community-building woven through. 

*This concert will begin at 5:30 PM on the Emily Dickinson Homestead (280 Main St, Amherst, MA 01002). There will be local beer, wine, cider, and non- alcoholic beverages to purchase.
